Wedding Ring Finger Measurement Guide

There is no substitute to having your wedding ring finger measured by a professional, but measuring your wedding ring finger is not an exact science.  Our fingers change in size from morning to evening, month to month and even winter to summer.

Free DIY Ring size tips

-Should you use a a DIY ring sizer, after sliding the ring sizer on, make sure it slides off fairly easily over the knuckle.

-Do not measure cold fingers.  This is when our fingers are their smallest.

-For the most accurate reading, measure the finger at the end of the day when the finger is the largest.

Measurement

Find a piece of string or strip of paper no wider than 1.4 cm (1/2 inches).  Wrap it around the base of the appropriate finger.  Use a pen to mark the point on the string/paper where it overlaps, forming a complete circle.  With a ruler, measure the length from the starting end of the string/paper to the pen mark.  Use this measurement and the chart below to determine your DIY Wedding Ring size.

-For the most accurate reading, measure the finger at the end of the day when the finger is the largest. 

-If the measure lands between two numbers, your size is a half size.  Example: Between British ring measurement  N and O is Europe ring measurement size 55.  If half sizes are not available, order the next larger size.
